I have to confess I had the easy job today - I got to be part of the team that took Bety & her girls shopping while the rest of the team finished up the second coat of stucco and moved in all the gifts to the family's new home. Crossing Church is overflowing with generous folks and together this team put together enough funds to buy new beds, groceries, clothes, school supplies, etc, as well as leave enough tools to present Juan Carlos (dad) with a tool belt filled with tools needed for his job in construction. Even one of our folks "back home" in Colorado sent funds to cover the costs of a new pair of shoes for each girl. Priscilla owns a lovely dress for church, but has previously refused to wear it because she had no shoes that match how lovely the dress is and said that if she wore the dress with the shoes she owned people would know she was poor. Lluvia will be "graduating" to the new level in school this year and chose a pair of shoes to wear for her graduation. Pictures are worth a thousand words - enjoy!
